Purple’s Smart-Comfort Grid System™ is designed so that each individual cell wall of Hyper-Elastic Polymer™ has a specific pressure/weight threshold. When that threshold is breached, the wall releases, distributing the weight and pressure to surrounding cells. This means that high-pressure areas like your hips and shoulders sink in while the broader, low pressure areas like your back get fully supported.

Even when the cell walls release, they don’t collapse and lose support; they will maintain the exact right amount of support needed for that part of your body so you don’t bottom out.

The Purple® Bed should easily support 600lbs total or 300lbs weight per person per side. If you’re worried about accommodating someone significantly heavier than that but still want the power of Purple, please be assured that all users, regardless of weight, should find comfort benefits with the Purple® Bed. Please be advised that, while with the use of significantly heavier users will not void the warranty, it may cause the bed to soften more quickly than with an average-weighted user and therefore may eventually alter the Purple™ Bed’s comfort providing abilities.

As we grow we are only producing the four most popular sizes of mattress Twin XL, Queen, King and California King. This certainly doesn’t mean we won’t add sizes, but we apologize if we don’t have the sizes you’re looking for right now. To be notified if we ever do add more sizes, fill out this Google Form and we’ll be sure to let you know if your desired size becomes available!

If you’re not convinced that Purple® Mattress is right for you after 30 or so nights, head over to your guest room, take your sweetie on a romantic getaway, or simply spend a night or two where you can sleep on a different mattress and compare it to your Purple. You may just realize how awesome Purple really is! Don’t worry, you still have your full 100 nights to decide.

For the mattress cover, we recommend using a stretchy mattress protector and spot-cleaning with upholstery when it does get dirty.

**The cover does zip off, but we recommend not putting it through your washing machine unless absolutely necessary. If you do, use a completely cold cycle and hang or lay flat to dry only (there is a LOT of spandex in it, so if you put it in the washer/dryer, it will shrink and that could potentially interfere with the benefits of Purple™).

The stretchier your sheets and mattress protector, the more you’ll be able to enjoy the full benefits of Purple. Too tight and/or non-stretchy fabrics can act as a barrier between you and the Purple so you don’t get as much pressure release as you could. Also, don't forget to check out our amazing sheets that will work perfectly on your mattress!

We use a premium high-density density foams, which include:

Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)All of which is, of course, topped with and protected by 2″ of Purple™ — so it’ll last even longer than your average high-density foam.

We may add the option of a Purple® Mattress topper in the future, but we don’t have any sort of timeline. But if you want to to be notified if/when a Purple® Topper is available, fill out this quick form and you’ll be among the first to know!

Of course we recommend our platform base! However, the Purple just needs a sturdy surface to sit on, whether that’s a platform, slats (3″ apart or less), box foundation, an adjustable bed frame, or even the floor — it all works just fine. Make sure your mattress won’t be on a sagging frame or foundation and you’re good to go!

Yes!

We use a fabric knit barrier that meets all of the industry standards for your safety without filling your mattress with toxic chemicals.

The non-toxic plastic powder coating we use is polyethylene copolymer, which is a food-contact-grade plastic considered to be safe (FDA, WHO/IARC, and Environment Canada have all declared it safe for use).

There may be a faint “new mattress” smell right when it comes out of the packaging, which the few who have noticed it have described as nutty and sweet. If it is noticeable, it will fade within a few days and is not toxic (most toxic off-gassing that is associated with mattresses comes from memory foam, which we do not use).

We specially designed a patent-pending, high-quality, white-on-white cover that has never been seen in the industry. It’s super stretchy so you get the best experience with Purple possible, and will look great in your room, even while you’re washing the sheets!

The Royal Purple® Seat cushions will ship in boxes, just as one might expect.

But we’ve invested in a super nifty mattress roller that allows us to ship Purple® Beds and Tops directly to your door in a vinyl tube with handy little handles to help you carry it.

They also invested in making the only (extremely proprietary) machine that can mass produce the Hyper-Elastic Polymer™ at an affordable cost, right here in the USA.

We don’t have an official policy. Not required, but recommended every 6 months or so. The Purple® Mattress also shouldn’t be flipped or you could lose its benefits! You can rotate the mattress, although it’s not necessary!

There will be a great little Purple slicer – that looks suspiciously like a letter opener – included in the package. Use that to cut down the length of the plastic tube, (Yes, it will cut between the teeth of the zipper and through the fabric and plastic) and unroll the mattress from the several layers of purple fabric holding it together. Your bed will be ready to sleep on right away.

Most of our customers rate our mattress a 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale, but it really just is personal preference!

There are no animal products used to produce The Purple® Mattress.

The Purple® Mattress has very limited motion transfer! You won’t feel your partner stir, those cute little ones climbing into the sheets, or those little paws finding the most comfortable position.

The life expectancy is around 8-10 years. That is why we have a 10 year warranty on all of our mattresses.

Purple ships everywhere in the US, but not at exactly the same speed. If you live in a more rural area, please note that it will most likely take longer to ship your products to you that what is estimated on the website.

It will also most likely take longer to return your mattress, as there are fewer services that we use for returns in rural areas. Your patience is appreciated!

Yes. Just make sure to tumble dry it but use low heat.

Ours has pretty much everything theirs has, plus it's stretchy and about 50% of the cost. Ours also doesn't have any cotton terry material.

The mattress protector is %100 polyurethane, 85% polyester and 15% spandex.

The first layer absorbs the liquid like a thin towel, while the second layer blocks it from getting to your mattress.

The Pillow doesn’t have a weight limit, but the average noggin is around 10-12 pounds.

Yes! Every Purple™ Pillow comes with air booster that you can use and inflate to your perfect comfort level.

The Purple Hyper-Elastic Polymer™ will never wear out or break down. It’s a forever pillow.

The cover is removable and has washing instructions. The main part of the pillow (The Hyper-Elastic Polymer™) is 100% waterproof and can be cleaned with warm water and mild soap (like dish soap).

No, we don’t use any latex while making the Purple® Pillow and our pillows are 100% latex free!

The squares are 6 inches wide including bars and 4.25 inches wide without bars. Also, 9 inches long including bars, 7.5 inches long without bars.

The platform base is 16.5’’ tall, so you will want to get bins no larger than 16’’ high!

There are just headboard attachments, we don’t have footboard attachments but we may be offering them in the future.

Honestly, it just kind of struck a chord with us. The more we discussed it, the more we liked it. It's a neutral color that doesn't have a ton of very specific meaning, which allows us to fill it with our own awesomeness. We also quite enjoy the idea that Purple is the color of royalty and we believe that everyone deserves to be treated like Royalty!

The Purple™ Bed – there’s no way you’re getting it back into the packaging it comes in, and it’s heavy and expensive to ship back. So we’ll find a local donation center to come pick it up for you.

The Purple™ Seat Cushion – these ones are a bit easier to work with, so we’ll send you a shipping label to send it back to us. You can drop it off at your local UPS store or even schedule your UPS guy to come and pick it up if you want.

Great question! The seat cushions don’t have a weight limit because the Purple will never break down or wear out! So any seat cushion is usable for any size!

Great question! Customers generally tend to like the Purple® Royal Seat Cushion for Office use.

The Everywhere and Portable are designed for 1-2 hours of use and are lighter weight which works perfectly for using for football games, movies, etc.

The Portable is what our customers have found works best for airplane rides.

The Simply is a great one for car use.

Most truck drivers have found that the Ultimate and Royal work the best for them!

A lot of wheelchair users have found that they enjoy the Ultimate!

Our customers have found that they enjoy the Ultimate, if you are needing to use it for long periods of time, and the Everywhere if you are using it for shorter periods of time.

The set of sheets comes with a fitted sheets, a flat sheet and 2 pillow cases (besides the Twin & Twin XL just come with 1 pillow case)! :)

Great question! You will get 2 King sized pillow cases if you order a King size set of sheets!

We can’t guarantee that our sheets are stain resistant, but you can machine wash them. With proper cleaning techniques they should wash clean.
