Make sure anything coming between you and your Purple is thin and ultra-stretchy to ensure you get the maximum benefit from the Purple Smart Comfort Grid™. You’ll have the best Purple experience if you use our ultra-stretchy, super-soft Purple™ Sheets and Purple™ Mattress Protector!
If you don’t want to use our sheets and/or protector, just make sure to look for thin and stretchy! We recommend looking for at least 5% spandex.
There is no official weight limit for the Purple® mattress, but it’s best recommended for sleepers between 120 lbs - 300 lbs (per person). Sleepers outside of that range will still love their Purple® mattress and feel the wonderful benefits Purple has to offer, it may just feel more firm.
We can’t recommend the Purple™ Platform Base or Purple™ PowerBase enough! Check ‘em out before checkout.
If you don’t want to use one of ours any standard mattress foundation in good condition that can support the weight of you and the mattress* will be just fine (traditional box springs with springs inside excluded). Box foundation, adjustable, bunky, platform, slats**, floor…they should work swell.
*If you use a 3rd party foundation, check their weight recommendations. Purple® mattress weights are:

**If you use a slatted base, make sure the slats are no more than 3 inches apart.
